FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do you bill for allocated resources?
Servers, Volumes, Software licenses and other resources are billed per hour and we present prices in both hourly and monthly terms. Billing starts from the moment you create a new resource and until you have deleted it. We will charge your provided credit card bi-weekly or monthly, depending on your usage and payment history.
How reliable are local storage disks for servers?
Infinivan.Cloud does not use local storage for the VMs. Local storage has limited performance, has higher probability of failure and has scalability limitations. Instead we're using centralized storage cluster connected via multiple high speed Fiber-channels interfaces. This allows us to spread disk load across many more SSD and achieve virtually unlimited scalability.
Can I install Windows?
We do offer Windows Server installation option for an additional monthly fee. We offer you to install 3 latest version of the Win Server. Kindly note that we are focusing on support for Linux as an operating system only.
How many servers can I create?
New customer have a defined limit for the number of Cloud resources they can order. If you would like to increase your limit, you can send a request to our support team by opening a support ticket.
What are the Infinivan Cloud Volumes?
Volumes are virtual disks used for block storage. Each Volume features SSD speeds, flexible size re-configurations and is attachable to any of your Infinivan Cloud Server.
Will you add additional locations in different geographic regions?
We recently added San Francisco, California and Dallas, Texas (USA) as new locations for Infinivan Cloud. Our development team is always on the lookout for other geographic locations where we might provide Infinivan Cloud services in the future.
How does Infinivan Cloud store the data in Volumes?
Infinivan cloud is employing enterprise-grade Fiber-channel Storage Clusters by Hewlett Packard (C). Each storage cluster is using 4 data controllers for extra reliability and performance. All Data stored in RAID volumes spread across separate storage shelves.
Is there any way to get a custom configuration?
Customized virtual servers (additional RAM, additional/larger drives etc.) are not currently available.
Do you bill servers that are off?
Yes. All servers that have finished their creation process will be billed until they are deleted, regardless of their state. This is because, internally, we allocate full resources to servers regardless of their power state. And it enables rapid startup and boot times for you, the customer.
